Finding the best wedding DJ for you can be an overwhelming task. You want someone who not only has the skills to keep the dance floor packed all night long, but also understands your unique style and vision for your special day.
Most people rely on recommendations from family and friends, Social Media groups or good old Google Reviews.
Google Reviews
Today I want to take a look at Google reviews in particular.
The really good thing about Google reviews is that they are quite hard to fake. The user needs to have a Google account and that means you don’t get the mass of “paid for” reviews. It’s a good place to start.
It’s actually quite hard to get people to leave reviews as, after an event, they’ve often moved on to other things in their life and leaving a review isn’t high on their priorities. Also, many people find it difficult to leave a review as they “don’t know what to say”.
I bet while you’ve been searching for wedding suppliers for your wedding you’ve come across a lot of reviews that haven’t really helped. You know the ones, they are short and sweet but don’t really say a lot… like this…
“We had Dave at our wedding and he was fab, definitely recommend.”
Whilst it’s great that it sounds like Dave did a good job, it doesn’t really help you much.

I have a tool on my website that pulls reviews directly from Google (and Facebook) and displays them on every page. I currently have 28 Google and 75 Facebook reviews.
The reviews my clients leave me are often longer and much more detailed. I think part of this is they are still very excited about their wedding weeks after the actual event. They ask if there is anything they can do for me and are more than happy to leave a review.
